Mad Stories (ONLINE only) is an informal, monthly story-sharing event held on the last Tuesday of every month from 6:00–7:30 PM ET.

People with Mad experiences can listen in or feel free to share short stories "loosely based on real life." This flexibility allows us to disclose with discretion, without the expectation of "reporting" our lives. It also opens space for dream-like, fictional playfulness. We actively avoid critique, analysis, or psych labels to give people the space to tell their stories their way.

Mad Stories was launched in Montreal in early 2014 during Mad Pride. The idea was to move beyond analysis, opinion, and conventional ways of talking, ditching traditional psychological and clinical theories of inner life experience. In this way, Mad Stories focuses on our narrative lives in search of mutual ways of knowing. In practice, it tends to ground Crazy Talks discussions, which are held a week later.
